# How to create a Cammio Clip

## Starting a New Clip 

* Navigating to the Clips Section
* After logging into your Cammio account, go to the **Clips** section in the sidebar.
* Here you can view existing clips or start a new one by clicking the **Create New Clip** button at the top-right of the screen

## Recording a New Clip

### ℹ️ Clip Information
* **Title:** Add a descriptive title for your clip.
* **Branding:** If multiple brandings are configured, select one. Otherwise, the default branding is used.
* **Recruiter:** Your name is pre-filled based on your login. You may select another colleague’s name if needed.
* **Additional Information:** Optionally include extra text to accompany your video.
* **Hide from Other Recruiters:** If enabled, only you and admin users can view the clip.

> 📝 *All clip information can be edited after recording.*

### ⚙️ Gear Wheel Settings
* **Camera & Microphone:** Automatically detects your device’s default settings. External devices can be selected manually.
* **Virtual Background:** Choose between two blur options or upload a custom background (recommended: 1x1 aspect ratio).
* **Fill Frame:** Crop the camera feed to 1x1 to eliminate black bars.
* **Mirror Video:** Optionally mirror your camera image.

### 🎥 Starting the Recording
* Click the red **Start recording** button to begin. A 3-second countdown will appear.
* After countdown, your recording begins. A timer and recording status are shown.
* **Maximum recording time:** 5 minutes.
* Click the **red square** inside the circle to stop recording.

## 📹 Recording Options

* **Repeat Recording:** Located bottom-left — deletes the current take and allows you to re-record.
* **Cancel:** Located bottom-right — exits the window without saving.
* **Create Clip:** Finalizes and processes your video (may take a few minutes depending on length).

## ➗ Sharing Your Clip

### Preview and Details
* After creation, click the **Play** button to watch your clip.
* The right-hand side displays recruiter details and optional info entered earlier.

### Share Options
* Click **Copy link** to generate a shareable URL.
* Click **...** to open additional options:
* Open clip in new window with branding applied
* **Edit**: Adjust clip info or trim video
* **Set to Private**: Only viewable by you and admin users
* **Duplicate**: Create a copy of the clip
* **Delete**: Permanently remove the clip

## 💼 Managing Clips in the Database

### General Info
> 📝 *Retention: All Clips will be deleted after the retention period of 365 days.*

### ℹ️ Clip Details in the Database
* View:
* **Title** and **cover image**
* **Recruiter name**
* **Creation date**
* **View count**

* Use **Copy link** to get a shareable URL.
* Use **...** menu for:
* Opening the clip in a browser
* Editing the clip
* Setting clip privacy
* Duplicating the clip
* Viewing click rate statistics
* Deleting the clip permanently
