Set Up a Live Interview Template

Creating a Live Interview template allows you to standardize the live video experience for your entire hiring team. By setting up this foundation once, you save valuable time, reduce repetitive administrative work, and ensure a consistent, professional environment for every candidate you meet.

In Cammio, an interview "template" is your master setup. Once you build it, you can reuse this exact setup to invite hundreds of candidates without starting from scratch.

How to Create Your Live Interview Setup

  1. Go to your Interviews overview from the main menu on the left.
  2. Click the Create new button located at the top right of the screen.
  3. Select Live Interview from the available format options.
  4. Enter a clear, identifiable Template Name.
  5. Click Save to finalize the initial creation of your template.

Configuring the Interview Details

Once you've created the foundation, you will be taken directly to the Setup tab, which acts as the foundational configuration area for your template. Focus on the Interview details module to configure the following essential parameters:

  • Interview title: Adjust the title of your interview, which must be between 3 and 80 characters.
  • Reference ID: If you are using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), add an optional ID to map the interview to your external ATS records.
  • Template Owner: Select the specific team member who owns and manages this setup.
  • Interview duration: Adjust the default expected length of the live interview (for example, 45 minutes).
  • Language: Set the primary language that will be used for the interview interface.
  • Consent document: Attach an applicable consent document to the welcome screen that candidates must review before joining an interview.
  • Data retention: Define the data retention period in days to automatically control how long candidate data is stored.
  • Template visibility: Choose whether this template should be visible to everyone on your account (Account-level) or restricted just to the owner and admins (Private).

Next Steps
