Add Questions and Media to Your Library

Building your Library is the best way to speed up your high-volume hiring workflows. By pre-recording your standard questions or uploading your employer branding videos once, you can reuse them infinitely across all your interview setups. You can add items directly from the Library dashboard, or save them on the fly while building an interview.

1. Adding Content Directly from the Library Dashboard

When you want to set up your Library before building any interviews, you can create and save new content straight from the Library page.

Adding a New Question

  1. Navigate to Library from the main menu on the left.
  2. Click the + Add new item button in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Question.
  4. Choose your media source:
  • Record new video — launches the Cammio recorder so you can record directly via webcam.
  • Upload — drag and drop a video or image file from your computer.
  • Empty — skip media and save a text-only question.
  1. If you recorded or uploaded a video, a Fill frame toggle is shown. Enable it to zoom and crop the video to a 1:1 aspect ratio.
  2. Fill in the question details:
  • Question text — the prompt your candidates will see (required even when using video or audio).
  • Owner — defaults to you; change this if you're creating on behalf of a colleague.
  • Notes — internal context for your team, never visible to candidates.
  • Tags — keywords to make the question easy to find later.
  • Language — the language the question is intended to be answered in.
  1. Click Save to Library. The new question appears at the top of the Questions tab in the Library table.

Adding a New Media Asset

  1. Navigate to Library from the main menu on the left.
  2. Click the + Add new item button.
  3. Select Media.
  4. Choose your media source:
  • Record new video — launches the Cammio recorder.
  • Upload — drag and drop a video or image file. Media assets preserve their original aspect ratio (no Fill frame option).
  1. Fill in the asset details: Title, Owner, Notes, Tags.
  2. Click Save to Library. The new asset appears at the top of the Media in the Library table.

2. Saving Content Directly from the Interview Builder

You will most often write a great new question or record a perfect welcome video right in the middle of building a new automated interview. You do not need to navigate away to save it for later!

Saving a Question

  1. While in the Interview Builder, create your new text, video, or audio question.
  2. Click the Add to Library option in the More actions menu on the top-right of a question card.

  1. A modal opens up for you to add details.
  2. Click save.

Saving Welcome & End Screen Media

  1. When setting up the Welcome or End Screen steps of your interview, record or upload your video.
  2. Click the Add to Library option in the More actions menu on the right side of the video.
  3. A modal opens up for you to add details.
  4. Click save.

Tip: Always try to save generic, reusable media (like a standard company intro) to your Library. It keeps your brand consistent and saves your hiring managers from recording the same message twice!
