How to Evaluate a Candidate (Interview Analysis Page Walkthrough)

When clicking on a candidate who has completed their interview, you will land on the Interview Analysis Page. This is your dedicated, deep-dive workspace where you can review a candidate's responses, read along with their transcripts (if available), and submit your official evaluation.

Whether you are doing a quick pulse-check on a single candidate or processing a high-volume pipeline, this page is designed to make reviewing fast, fair, and collaborative.

1. Watching the Interview & Reading Transcripts

When you open a candidate's profile, everything you need to assess their performance is right in front of you.

  1. The Media Player (Left Side): Your large video player sits on the left. Simply click play to watch the candidate's recorded answers (or the recording of a Live Interview).
  2. Responses & Transcripts (Right Side): The dual-tabbed panel on the right helps you navigate the interview quickly.
  • Click the Responses tab to see a list of the individual questions and their durations. Clicking a question will jump the video straight to that answer.
  • Click the Transcript tab to read the auto-generated text of the candidate's answers, complete with timestamps.

Note: To use the transcription features, this needs to be enabled for your Cammio account. If enabled, you can choose per template whether you like to use interview transcriptions or not. If you have questions, please reach out to your Cammio Client Success Manager.

2. Reviewing Candidate Details

Before or after watching the interview, you might need to reference the candidate's basic information or the interview metadata. Look just below the video player and click on the Details tab. This section provides a clear, scannable summary:

  • Candidate Information: Quickly verify the candidate's name, email address, and contact details.
  • Interview Snapshot: See exactly which interview template was used, the date the interview was completed, and the total combined duration of the answers given.
  • Current Score: View a snapshot of the current Average Score (if your team's reviews have already been made visible).
  • Export Details: Click the Export Details button at the bottom of this tab to instantly download this metadata for your external records.

3. Submitting Your Evaluation (The Reviews Tab)

Once you have watched the responses and reviewed the details, it is time to leave your feedback. Click on the Reviews tab located next to the Details tab.

  1. Go to the Your Review section.
  2. If the recruiter has provided specific guidelines, they will appear right at the top under Instructions.
  3. Depending on how your team set up the interview, provide your star rating (either an "Overall Impression" rating or a question-by-question breakdown).
  4. Leave any specific qualitative notes in the text feedback box.
  5. Click Submit to officially record your evaluation.

4. Viewing Team Feedback (The Anti-Bias Feature)

Cammio is built to help your team make objective, data-driven decisions. To prevent "groupthink" and ensure every evaluator brings a fresh perspective, you will notice the All Reviews section is hidden when you first arrive. By default, the scores and comments of your fellow team members are completely hidden until you submit your own review.

  • Once you submit your feedback, the list will reveal each reviewer's name, their question-by-question breakdown (if chosen), their overall score, and their written comments so you can collaborate.
  • Need to see them beforehand? If you are an Admin or Recruiter managing the pipeline and just need a quick look, you can override this block by toggling the See reviews anyway? switch.
