Recording Live Interviews

Recording a Live Interview lets your team rewatch key moments, share the session securely with stakeholders, and support consistent decision-making—especially when multiple reviewers are involved.

Only record interviews if your organization's policy allows it and the candidate has given consent (if required). Always follow your local privacy rules and your internal retention policy.

1. Enable Recording on Your Template

Before an interviewer can record a session, the feature must be turned on within the master interview setup.

Go to your Interviews overview and click on your Live Interview template.
Open the Setup tab and go to Features & Appearance.
Toggle Recording to On.

If you don't see this option, reach out to your Cammio account administrator. Recording capabilities are dependent on your organization's account-level privacy settings.

Click Save at the bottom of the section.

2. Record the Interview

When you are inside the live interview room with the candidate, you will have manual control over the recording.

Always ask for consent first! It is best practice (and often legally required) to verbally confirm the candidate is comfortable being recorded before you press the button.
Once consent is given, click the Record button located in your interviewer toolbar.
You can stop and start the recording as many times as needed during the session (for example: pausing if you are discussing sensitive administrative details or taking a quick break).

3. Accessing Your Recordings

Once the interview concludes, the video processing is blazing fast, allowing you to review the footage almost immediately.

Go to your Completed Interviews overview.
Locate the candidate. If a recording was taken, you'll see a clickable video thumbnail in their row. If no recording was taken, a simple dash will be displayed.
Click the candidate's name to open their full Interview Analysis page.
Use the large video player on the left to watch the interview.

If you stopped and started the recording multiple times during the call, Cammio automatically creates a "Recordings" playlist on the right side of the screen so you can easily jump between the different video clips.
