Start or Join a Live Interview as an Interviewer

Use the Interviewer link to join a scheduled Live Interview with the correct controls (host/interviewer view).

Step 1: Access Your Interview Link

There are two easy ways to access your specific interviewer link, depending on your role.

Option 1: Join via Email (Best for Guest Interviewers)

If you are the host or were invited to join the call by a recruiter, you will have received a calendar invitation and a confirmation email.

1. Open your Cammio invitation email.
2. Click the Join Interview button at the scheduled time.

Option 2: Join via the Dashboard

If you are managing the platform and created the template, you can jump right in from your dashboard.

1. Navigate to Templates and open the Live Interview template. Click on the Invites tab.
2. Alternatively, go to the Invitations overview page via the left sidebar.
3. Locate and click on the candidate in the scheduled list.
4. Click the Join Interview button or click on More Actions and Copy Interviewer Link.

Step 2: The Pre-Call Equipment Check

Before you enter the main room, you will be taken to a quick media test. This ensures you look and sound your best before the candidate sees you. As the interviewer you can skip this if you want.

1. Allow your browser permission to access your camera and microphone if prompted.
2. Check your video preview to ensure your camera is working and your framing is good.
3. Speak aloud to check the microphone.
4. Test your speaker.
5. Test your connection.
6. When you are ready, click Join room.

Step 3: Admitting the Candidate

Because you are joining with an Interviewer Link, you have "Host" privileges. This means you bypass the waiting room and enter the main interview room directly.

Your candidate, however, will be placed in a secure holding area until you are ready for them.

1. Once inside the room, look for the Knock notification by the candidate.
2. When you are ready to begin, click Admit next to the candidate's name to bring them into the live video call.
