Cancel/Delete an Invitation

Sometimes plans change! Whether a candidate withdraws their application, an invitation was sent by mistake, or you simply need to clean up your pipeline, you can easily remove pending invitations from your Cammio dashboard.


In Cammio, Deleting an invitation is currently the exact same thing as Canceling it. When you delete an active invitation, the platform automatically sends out a cancellation email to the candidate.Please note: If you are using Cammio integrated within your ATS, candidate communication on Cammio's side may be disabled if your ATS is handling the communication.



Canceling an Individual Invitation


If you only need to remove one specific candidate from the interview process:


  1. Go to Invitations from the main sidebar menu, or open a specific interview template and go to the Invite tab.
  2. Locate the candidate you want to remove.
  3. Click the More actions (...) menu on the right side of their row.
  4. Select Delete invitation from the dropdown list.
  5. A warning modal will appear. Click to confirm your decision.




Canceling Invitations in Bulk


When managing high-volume hiring workflows, you may need to clear out a larger batch of expired or withdrawn candidates all at once.


  1. Go to Invitations from the main sidebar menu, or open your specific interview template and go to the Invite tab.
  2. Check the boxes next to the names of all the candidates whose invitations you want to cancel.
  3. A bulk action bar will automatically appear towards the bottom of your screen. Click Delete invitations.
  4. A warning modal will appear asking you to confirm the bulk deletion. Click to confirm.




What Happens When You Cancel?


To keep your workflow efficient and compliant, the platform automatically handles the backend logistics the moment you confirm a deletion:


  • Invalidate Links: The candidate's unique interview link is instantly deactivated. If they try to click it, they will no longer be able to access the interview.
  • Automated Notifications: The system immediately sends a "Cancellation" email to the candidate to keep them informed. If you are canceling a Live Interview, an automated notice is also sent to any internal or external interviewer assigned to that session.


Deleting an invitation is a permanent action. If you accidentally delete a candidate, you will need to create and send them a brand-new invitation.


Please note: If you are using Cammio integrated within your ATS, candidate communication on Cammio's side may be disabled if your ATS is handling the communication.
